Excel solution for copy sum value of different selected cells in clipboard for paste

Dear friends,

In day-to-day working in excel, sometimes we have to copy sum value of different selected cells and put the same in clipboard for paste,

For example – I want sum value of selected different cells in clipboard  to paste the sum value in another excel sheet or other program as an input(for ex. In sap)

While doing this exercise, we have to remember the sum value and manually type the figure which sometimes give possibility of human error.

Here, I have prepared a solution for this

you have to download this excel file which include macro, from the below link

After download you have to paste the  file in following folder

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTAR

Windows 7

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

Once this is completed the programme is ready for use

Instruction for use

 After selecting the cells for sum value, press  Ctrl + shift + C

A message will pop in the screen instructing that the sum has been loaded in memory and is ready for paste.

Once you have pasted, click ok

Please note that if you want to paste in an excel file , you have to open your target file in other section , you have to open other excel window
